I started listening to drama CDs back when I was an undergraduate student. I wasn't in a good place mentally or academically at the time. I just happened across a situational Otome CD on Youtube. It was the olden days so things were available in not-so-legal ways under all kinds of weird names. When I started that video, I expected to cringe a little and maybe laugh about it later. What I didn’t expect is getting absolutely pampered by imaginary men. It was relaxing, sexy, and even a little educational. What I really like about audio dramas is that there is so much variety. If you like spicy, there’s plenty of spice. If you prefer narrative, there’s plenty of that too. The listener is truly in control of the media they consume.

I quickly became obsessed after that! I started with listening to bits and pieces of what was available, but then I learned of ways to purchase my own. Now, years later, I have so many files on my laptop I’ve had to buy an external drive to keep up.

This brings us back to why I made this blog in the first place. Lately I’ve been wanting to spread the gospel about how fun drama CDs can be, and this blog is just a vehicle for that.
